So... yesterday was indeed a scorcher!!! My thermometer reading 37oC 18th July 2022
I hope you enjoyed the amazing weather yesterday, whilst having time to stay cool and safe from the sun.
It definitely made a lovely change, considering Wales is far more famed for its cold, wet and windy weather. We had a fantastic time out in the garden playing with the kids, rolling down hills, the boys decided to have a race up the hill, worming it... yep. On their bellies having a worm race uphill, it was quite the sight.
While I encourage them to spend as much time outside as possible, yesterday we were back and forth, in and out of the house. Even eating ice lollies in the house with the fan on, it was so warm 😂
The sunny weather was always another amazing opportunity to reflect upon the awesomeness of Mother Earth, the changing of the weather, the plants and flowers blooming, fighting against the intense with they see so rarely here in Wales.
Just a final idea.
Wicca tradition approaches magic and rituals according to the principle of ‘sympathy’, otherwise known as ‘sympathetic magic’, which means that like-attracts-like. The timing of rituals should be in tune with the energies of the Earth and its shifts - when possible, of course.
